Custom Sportswear FAQ — Sampling, MOQ, Lead Times, Sizing and Compliance

Answers to the questions buyers ask us most, in one place: how sampling works and what it costs, the minimum order, how long production and shipping take, the sizes each sport uses, and the compliance documents we can send you. Every answer below is the same answer we give in writing on your quotation — if you need a term confirmed for your specific order, ask before you pay.

Sampling

Is digital sampling free, and how long does it take?

Yes. Once you confirm your design files, specs and size breakdown, we prepare a full digital mockup of your jersey — front and back — showing the logo, colors, numbers, names and placement. Digital proofs are free at this stage and usually ready within 3–5 days, with up to 5 rounds of revisions included.

What does a physical sample cost, and how long does it take?

A physical sample costs US$15–50 per style depending on the design and customization, and takes about 7 days to make. Sample shipping is paid by the buyer, and we will quote you the fastest option.

Is the sample fee deducted from my bulk order?

No. The sample fee is not deducted from your bulk order, and sample shipping is paid by the buyer.

Should we order a physical sample, and in what order?

For new designs we recommend it. The path most teams take: start with a free digital proof to lock the artwork, then order one physical sample to check fabric hand-feel, color and fit. Once you approve it, we lock those specs for production.

What files do we need to send, and what if we have no designer?

Vector files — AI, EPS, PDF or SVG — are ideal, because they keep your logo, numbers and names crisp at any size. If you only have a JPG/PNG or even a photo of your old jersey, send it anyway: we will check it and tell you honestly whether it will work before you commit. No designer on your side is not a dead end.

Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)

What is your minimum order quantity?

10 pieces per design. Mixed sizes within one design are accepted.

We only need about 10 jerseys for a small team — can you make them?

Yes. Our MOQ is 10 pieces per design, so youth teams, small clubs and first-time trials can order real custom kits without overstocking.

How do sets and separates count towards the minimum?

A singlet, a tee and a pair of shorts each count as 1, and a full set counts as 1 — so the minimum is 10. A jacket counts as 1, a pair of pants counts as 1, and a tracksuit set (jacket + pants) counts as 1.

Can we mix several designs, colors or sizes in one order?

Mixed sizes within one design are accepted. When an order mixes several designs, colors or sizes, we confirm exactly how the minimum applies on your written quotation before you pay — no surprises.

Can we reorder or add a late registration later in the season?

Yes — reorders and top-ups are routine for us. Because we keep your artwork, digital proof and size breakdown on file, a top-up order is much faster than the first one: you just confirm the extra quantities and we reconfirm the details. There is no cut-off, as long as the order meets our minimum of 10 pieces.

Lead Times

How long does bulk production take?

Bulk production runs 10–15 working days after the deposit is received and the design/sample is approved. It varies by quantity, and the exact schedule is confirmed on your written quotation.

What does the whole timetable look like, start to finish?

Free digital proof and revisions — included, up to 5 rounds. Physical sample (optional) — about 7 days to make. Bulk production — 10–15 working days after deposit received and design/sample approved. Shipping — depends on the method. The clock starts when your design files are confirmed and the deposit is received.

We are ordering for a school program — when should we start?

For US school orders we typically plan 3–4 months end-to-end to match budget cycles.

How long does shipping take, and where do you ship from?

We normally ship by UPS or DHL, typically 5–10 days. Sea freight takes longer and varies by route. We will confirm the best method and the timing for your destination when you request a quote. Our nearest port and airport are in Wuhan, China, and full container loads (FCL) can be arranged for large orders.

Can you rush an order?

Yes — we can prioritize your order and speed up the design-approval step for an additional fee, quoted per order. Tell us the date you need and we will confirm what is possible before you commit.

What size ranges do you offer?

Sizes are set per sport, and each product page carries its own size chart:

Can you make sizes outside your standard chart?

Yes. If your program needs something outside the standard chart, sizes can be customized to your requirements.

Where can we see the size chart, and how is it measured?

Each style page carries its own size chart with flat measurements in cm and inches. Ask us for the chart of the style you are considering.

Can we order mixed adult and youth sizes in one order?

Yes — mixed sizes within one design are accepted, and on the quote form you can select adult sizes, youth sizes, mixed adult & youth, or ask us to advise you.

Compliance and Quality

Which compliance and test documents can you provide?

We can send (all available on request):

  • REACH (EC 1907/2006) SVHC 242-item compliance test — Report HUAX250512088KR
  • RoHS 2.0 (2011/65/EU) test — Certificate HUAX250512089KC

Both were carried out by Shenzhen Huaxiang Testing Co., Ltd. in May 2025, and the factory has been audited on site by TÜV Rheinland.

We sell in a specific market — how do we know which documents apply to us?

Tell us your market and we will share the documents that apply to your order. REACH (EC 1907/2006) documentation is available on request.

How is the final color decided?

Colors are set by Pantone reference and confirmed on the digital proof — design, logo, artwork size and placement; a physical sample, when ordered, is also checked for color. We keep batch samples so reorders stay close to your approved sample.

What quality records come with an order?

Color card management, first-piece approval and batch samples kept; every order is inspected 100% before packing, and a QC report ships with every order. Reorders match the original batch colors.

Shipping, Duties and Landed Cost

Can you quote DDP (delivered duty paid), with duties and taxes included?

Yes — DDP (delivered duty paid) is available on request. We can quote you a door-to-door price with duties and taxes included, with import duties assessed and estimated per product on your written quotation.

Under your standard shipping terms, who pays import duties and taxes, and what documents do you provide?

Under standard terms, import duties and taxes are paid by the buyer. We provide the commercial invoice and export documents you need for customs clearance.

Can a top-up order be consolidated with another order?

Yes — top-up orders can be consolidated with other orders, combined into a shared container and shipped together (consolidation / LCL).
